On Tuesday, March 13, 2012, the Oklahoma Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty (OK-CADP) held a news conference at the State Capitol, asking Gov. Mary Fallin for a Stay of Execution for Timothy Shaun Stemple. Maintaining his innocence, the family wanted more time to pursue his legal rights in the courts. The family believes that crucial evidence never made it into court. Denied that right, Shaun Stemple was executed on Thursday, March 15, 2012.
